Terms of Service

Welcome to InventoryLens. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you ("User", "you") and Kuka Lab ("we", "us"). By downloading, installing or using InventoryLens, you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What the App Does

InventoryLens prints QR labels for storage lockers and opens each locker's spreadsheet as editable cards. Each locker is one .xlsx file held in cloud storage; the app reads that file, shows its rows, and writes your changes back to it.

2. Licence

Kuka Lab grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use InventoryLens on devices you control, for your own personal or internal business purposes, subject to these Terms.

You may not: reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the app except where that right cannot lawfully be excluded; resell, rent or sublicense it; remove or alter any notices; or use it to break the law.

3. How Saving Works — Read This One

Saving replaces the whole file. There is no version history and no undo.

When you press Save, the locker's spreadsheet is overwritten with what is on screen. The previous contents are gone.
Uploading a spreadsheet to a locker that already has one replaces it entirely. The app asks first, but once confirmed the old file is not recoverable from within the app.
There is no merge and no locking. If two people edit the same locker at the same time, the one who saves last wins, and the other's changes are lost without warning.
Only the first sheet of a workbook is displayed and edited. Other sheets are preserved on upload but are not shown.

Keep your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.

4. Your Responsibilities

Accuracy: what a locker file says is what someone typed. You are responsible for the correctness of your records.
Backups: you are responsible for keeping independent copies of your spreadsheets.
Access: you are responsible for who has the app and your locker IDs. Anyone with both can read and change those files.
Lawful content: you are responsible for what you put in the files, including any personal data, and for having the right to store it.
Labels: a printed QR label is a physical object. Keeping it legible, attached and matched to the right cabinet is your responsibility.

5. Connectivity

InventoryLens requires an internet connection to open a locker and to save one. There is no offline mode: if there is no connection at the cabinet, the app cannot show or record anything. We do not guarantee any level of availability, and the underlying cloud service may be interrupted, changed or discontinued by its provider.

6. Printing

Labels are sent to your device's own print dialog and printed by whatever printer you have configured. We do not control printer drivers, paper sizes or print quality. The label is designed at 90×90 mm; some print services ignore custom page sizes and will scale it, which may affect how reliably the code scans.

7. Not a Compliance or Safety System

⚠️ Critical notice for maritime and industrial users:

InventoryLens is a convenience tool for reading and editing spreadsheets. It is not certified equipment, a statutory record system, or a substitute for any inspection, survey or safety regime.

Do not rely on it as the sole record of statutory or safety-critical inventories.
It performs no validation: it will accept an impossible quantity or an expired date without objection.
Expiry-like values shown in an accent colour are a visual hint based on the text in a cell — not a check, an alert, or a reminder system.
Compliance with applicable regulations, class requirements and company procedures remains entirely with you and your organisation.

8. Intellectual Property

InventoryLens — its source code, design, graphics and interface — is and remains the property of Mykhaylo Osypov and Kuka Lab. "Kuka Lab", "InventoryLens" and associated logos are trademarks of Kuka Lab and may not be used without prior written permission.

Your files remain yours. We claim no ownership of the spreadsheets you upload, open or edit.

9. Third-Party Services

The app stores files using Google Firebase. Your use of the app therefore also involves Google's own terms and privacy practices, which we do not control. See our Privacy Policy for what is stored and where.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any data will be preserved.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kuka Lab and Mykhaylo Osypov shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, nor for loss of data, loss of records, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising from your use of or inability to use InventoryLens — including data lost through an overwrite, a concurrent edit, or a failed save.

Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app, if any.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations on liability, so some of these may not apply to you.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kuka Lab, Mykhaylo Osypov and their affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses or costs (including legal fees) arising from your use of the app, your content, or your breach of these Terms.

13. Changes to the App and to These Terms

We may add, change or remove features, and may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the revised Terms.

14. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it; your spreadsheets remain ordinary workbooks and stay readable without it. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are breached.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Your Country/State], without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of InventoryLens shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [Your Jurisdiction].

16. Dispute Resolution

Before filing any legal claim, you agree to contact us first at kukalab@mail.com so we can try to resolve the matter informally.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
